However, during her tenure she has implemented smaller necessary changes, such as the policy that would drop marijuana-possession charges if the person was to obtain a marijuana card. The Democratic challenger, Julie Gunnigle, promises to lower incarceration by 25% and bring changes to how the entire system is run in Maricopa County.
