A <strong><em>dangerous instrument<\/em><\/strong> is item capable of causing serious injury or death when used for such. <strong><em>Serious physical injury<\/em><\/strong> is one which has a reasonable risk of death, causes significant or permanent disfigurement, or impairs or causes the loss of any body part or organ.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/ars\/13\/00704.htm\">A.R.S. 13-704,<\/a> the punishment ranges for dangerous offenses are laid out. Charged as a felony, such an offense could find an individual imprisoned for as many as 35 years depending on the specific crime and felony class.<\/p>\n<p>If you are convicted of a dangerous offense, your sentencing could be heavily affected.
