How to Find Out if Your License is Suspended<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In Arizona, driving on a suspended driver\u2019s license<\/a> is a class 1 misdemeanor. The Arizona Department of Transportation\u2019s Motor Vehicle Division (MVD)\u00a0assesses points<\/a>\u00a0against a person\u2019s driving record for certain offenses. Anyone who accumulates at least 8 points during any 12-month time period may have their driver\u2019s license suspended for up to one year.<\/p>\n

Courts do not have access to a person\u2019s MVD records and are therefore unable to look up license status.<\/p>\n

To check if you have a suspended driver\u2019s license, you must go through the Motor Vehicle Division directly. The easiest way to do this is through your online AZ MVD Now account<\/a>. This will allow you to check the status of your license as well as to reinstate your license, replace your license, renew your vehicle registration, register to vote, and more.<\/p>\n
