Narcotic Drug Crimes in Arizona
In Arizona, narcotic drug offenses are classified as felonies. Narcotics are a broad class of drug, including opium derivatives such as heroin, fentanyl, and morphine, cannabis products such as “wax” or “hash,” and various prescription drugs like hydrocodone, OxyContin, and Percocet. The Drug Enforcement Agency provides an overview of narcotics here.
For a full list of the drugs classified as narcotics, you can refer to A.R.S. 13-3401.
Per A.R.S. 13-3408, the possession, use, administration, acquisition, sale, manufacture, and/or transportation of narcotic drugs are all felony crimes.
