Our Commitment
Rideout Law Group is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. With offices in Scottsdale and Lake Havasu City, Arizona, we serve a community that includes seniors, veterans, and people with permanent, temporary, and situational disabilities. We believe access to legal information is a civil right, and we are working to make rideoutlaw.com usable by the widest possible audience — including people who navigate the web with screen readers, keyboard-only input, voice control, screen magnifiers, or other assistive technology.
We do not rely on third-party accessibility overlay widgets. We believe that making our site work natively with assistive technology — rather than installing a layer on top of it — is the right approach for our clients and visitors.
Conformance Standard
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the technical standard cited in Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) enforcement guidance from the U.S. Department of Justice. Our accessibility commitments are also informed by:
- Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 42 U.S.C. § 12181 et seq.
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, where applicable
- The Arizona Civil Rights Act, A.R.S. § 41-1492 et seq., to the extent it applies to public accommodations
Current Status
This is an honest assessment, not a marketing statement. Our site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA — meaning some content does not yet fully conform to the standard. We are actively remediating known issues.
What we have already implemented
- Set the page language so screen readers pronounce content correctly
- Verified color contrast for body text and interactive elements meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 ratio required by WCAG 2.2 AA
- Provided text alternatives for meaningful images
- Honored the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting for visitors who experience vestibular disorders or motion sensitivity - Used semantic HTML landmarks (
<main>,<nav>,<footer>) so assistive technology can navigate the page structure - Published this Accessibility Statement with direct contact channels
Known limitations we are actively working on
- Adding descriptive top-level headings (
<h1>) to every landing page so screen-reader users can quickly identify what each page is about - Adding accessible names (
aria-label) to icon-only links such as our social media and click-to-call icons in the header and footer - Migrating our contact form from reCAPTCHA v2 to a more accessible verification method that does not impose audio or visual challenges on screen-reader users
- Improving the mobile menu’s announcement of expanded and collapsed state for screen-reader users
- Replacing generic “Read More” link text with descriptive labels that make sense out of context
- Marking the active navigation item with
aria-current="page"so assistive technology announces which page the visitor is on
Assistive Technology Compatibility
The site is designed and tested to work with the latest versions of the following assistive technologies and browsers:
- Screen readers: NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android
- Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (current and one prior major version)
- Input methods: Keyboard-only navigation, touch, voice control (Voice Control on Apple devices, Voice Access on Android), and switch devices
- Magnification: Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
If you are using older browsers or assistive technologies, some features may not work as expected. We do our best to support older configurations but cannot guarantee parity.

Formal Complaints
We hope you will contact us first so we can address your concern directly. However, if you would like to file a formal complaint regarding the accessibility of this website under the Americans with Disabilities Act, you may do so with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division:
- Online: civilrights.justice.gov/report
- Phone: 1-833-591-0291 (toll-free) or 1-202-307-0663
You may also have additional rights under the Arizona Civil Rights Act and other applicable state and federal law. Filing a complaint with us or with the Department of Justice does not waive any other legal rights or remedies.
Third-Party Content
Some content on this site is delivered by third-party services we do not control directly — for example, embedded Google Maps, video players, social media widgets, review platforms, and the Google reCAPTCHA service that protects our contact form. These third-party services may not yet meet our WCAG 2.2 AA targets.
We work with these vendors to surface accessibility issues, but we cannot guarantee third-party conformance. If you encounter a barrier in third-party content, please report it to us using the contact channels above so we can advocate on your behalf with the vendor and, where possible, offer an alternative way to access the same information.
