Obtaining a Marriage License in Arizona
In Arizona, couples looking to wed must obtain a marriage license through the court in order to proceed with a legal wedding. Each partner must be at least 18 years old. Those who are 16 and 17 years old may obtain a marriage license only if they meet certain requirements laid out by the court.
Additionally, courts will require proper identification and a marriage license fee. Each court handles the process slightly differently, so anyone looking to obtain a marriage license should confirm each court’s procedures regarding fees, accepted payment methods, marriage license hours, appointment requirements, acceptable forms of ID, and whether or not licenses must be obtained in-person.
